Artists & Awarenes

Artists & Awareness
by Mario A. Campanaro
Life will always throw curveballs at us, but in those moments, we have a choice. Do we allow these circumstances to destroy us and make us crumble, or do we allow them to awaken a perseverance in us that we didn’t know we had? Do we use these challenges as opportunities to become better versions of ourselves and, in turn, help the collective?
The thing about awareness is that it leaves no room for lies. It opens a transparency that lets us see things as they truly are. You no longer have to decipher situations because, in their purest form, you understand what they are. You’re not creating stories to protect the circumstances; you’re seeing them for what they really are. With that clarity, you can make choices based on the truth, not on illusions.
As artists, what we’re not always taught is that we are lightworkers. We have the ability to see things others cannot, to feel things others are unwilling to feel, and to bring an awareness that can help shift consciousness towards a better tomorrow. We have an obligation to hold the light in the darkest storms and to be strong in moments of weakness. It’s our duty to use our voices to challenge and break the structures that no longer serve us and that are leading to our destruction. We are more than we are told we are, and we must start believing in our own truth rather than the false truths we’ve been taught.
When I was a little boy, I lived in constant fear. I was always in fight or flight mode, terrified every day without fully understanding why. I felt unworthy, unlovable, and was consumed with self-doubt, always questioning my place in the world and the motives of those around me. I will never forget when my mentors, at the age of seventeen, would say to me, "You have to start trusting yourself." At the time, I didn’t understand what that meant. I thought they were just repeating something from a self-help book, and I was trying to adopt it to meet their expectations.
But then something shifted in me. Life became increasingly difficult, and I began to awaken to who I truly am. I started to remember where I came from, and I connected with a power within me that I never knew existed. I realized that I have the ability to transform even the most difficult circumstances and use them to make the world a better place. But before I could do that, I had to better myself. I had to be the example—and I still do.
We are often so lost in doctrine that we forget who we really are. We get so caught up in being told what’s wrong with us that we overlook the perfection that lies within. We are taught to believe our imperfections are flaws, but what we’re not taught is that our imperfections are actually the stepping stones to our perfection. They are what lead us to blossom, to transform, and to become who we are truly meant to be. These imperfections are what make us wonderful.
